Natura Network Agreements
Promoting Natura 2000 at the local level

"The special natural heritage of Spoleto is being investigated and promoted trough a specific project: “Creating a Documentation Centre on the Spoleto Natura 2000 Sites, and carrying out specific spreading materials”.

The main goal of the project is to improve the scientific knowledge of the area, and to increase the interest and the awareness of local people on the most important natural area of the Spoleto region.
The key project activities are:

1. Collect and record information and scientific data about the environment of the six Natura 2000 Sites (maps of the area, specific photographic documentation, scientific figures to show the outstanding Site’s natural elements…)

2. To share the knowledge of the project, and the exceptional natural resources of the area: set up a dedicated Documentation Centre, in which bring together all the information and documents on the Natura 2000 Sites, and display, on specific panels, spreading material of the area.

3. Publication of some technical and scientific records, and creation of dedicated web pages on the Comune di Spoleto web site (www.comune.spoleto.pg.it).
